Many Foes
Hey. I have been wondering; Are there any places that have MANY foes to farm for Event Items, like Birthday Cupcakes?
I currently know of ::
- 36 / 24 = 60 Vaettirs - Jaga Moraine
- ~30 Raptor Nestlings - Riven Earth [1 Boss]
- Unknown Gargoyles - Outside of Nolani Academy [Credit to FoxBat]
- ~20 Mantids - Outside of Nahpui Quarter [Credit to Rushing Roulette]
So, are there any other areas with huge masses of foes which would be better than farming one of those 2 places. I really want to farm stacks of Birthday Cupcakes, but I don't know if I'm maxing my potential with Vaettirs and Raptors.
Thanks, In advance.

Gargoyles outside of Nolani. Main advantage is you can kill them extremely fast in normal mode, and get a ton of gargoyle skulls which are used in some events. Don't think festival drops care about level...

There's also City of Torc'qua if you're capable of running that. Has a significant number of margonites.

The top 3 would be
1. Raptors ( on gwpvx for 3 professions - and on here in farming section as well )
2. Vaetires ( several professions can do and also on gwpvx - and again here on farming section )
3. Snowmen in secret lair ( ditto on above )
There are probably others but the 3 mentioned are always done in hm because of the number of foes increase and their attack speeds are fast and reqired by the builds in some way ( eg energy management ) making them ideal spots.
How id approach this is - search on here for the 3 and do same on gwpvx and see exactly what skills are required and what title is needed.
eg w/n raptors needs a hero with paragon skills so paragon hero is needed , build may even require a title skill from eotn thats only gotten near end of eotn so you have to do most of eotn if a fresh chr.
See whats needed and whats easier to reach for chrs that you have and go from there - several snowmen builds have no title reqs and only req is unlock the snowmen dungeon , same for e/me on vaetires - one version uses no title skills and the only req is to do hm and have done blood washes blood.

Care to share? OT: I like to farm the dragon moss outside at anjekas shrine in the echovald forest. In HM with my R/A it's about a 45s run and kills a mob of 12 (+ 1-2 forest wardens depending upon how many show). The build is extremely easy to run and can be found on pvxwiki I can post if you want. You can use a bow for pure ranger fun instead but doing that makes it a 1-2 min run and doesn't kill the exta wardens. During events I've had up to 9 drops out of this mob in one kill. Gl and hth

The Siege at Tsumei Village quest spawns a good number of enemies right outside the town, and of course they are ridiculously low level to the point where you can solo farm them with an empty skill bar if you like. Not sure on the numbers, but its 9 groups with something like 5-10 enemies each.
There are a few other quests like this, like the ones in EotN. Don't think you can get a higher enemy kill/time rate off em though, unless I am forgetting some of them.

I used tof arm vledt outside of Yohlon Haven in NM. Think theres 4 groups with 3 Vledt each. only 12 kills but the runs arre like 20-25 seconds each. Stonflesh, whirlwind, aftershock, resign

There's a pile of spiders outside of Sunspear Great Hall (about a dozen+?) that are pretty easily farmable. I don't bother with them often, but they're definitely simple to take care of. I use a A/Mo dagger build with Flashing Blades in HM for that. In NM, basically anything will work - just auto-attacking works.
The troll cave outside of Drok's is fun, though I never get great drops there. Still, I find it a lot of fun to just obliterate everything. Pretty much any farming build that can reduce physical damage/self-heal will work here.
